The story so far...
In November 2010 Robert held the first "XPresso Lesson", in which Cinema 4D users were given a task to create an XPresso preset. These presets turned out to be very useful, so that that a small online shop called XPresso Preset Shop was launched in May 2011. The purpose of this website was to archive those and other XPresso presets and give developers the chance to sell them.
In November 2011 the website was opened up for Cinema 4D plugin and script developers. With a lot of new features and completely redesigned, C4D Tools became a platform for all kinds of Cinema 4D extensions.
Years passed and after enumerous design and code iterations CGTOOLS made its public debut in 2016, offering a completely new experience to both customers and developers. This website now is for all CG artists, regardless of the software they are using.
By the end of 2017 Robert decided to leave CGTOOLS to concentrate more on other Projects.
